Running For Wilson
A couple of weeks ago, my friend and business partner (Anna Tienter) made a spontaneous decision to try and use our Boston Marathon experience to help a friend of ours. This friend of ours used to live here in Okinawa, but a year ago her 8-year-old son was diagnosed with leukemia and the only option was to move back to the States where better medical care could be received.
With ongoing treatments and increasing medical expenses, Anna and I challenged all of our friends to donate $10 if they think we will finish the marathon, $20 if they think we will finish the marathon and qualify for Boston again, or donate any amount of their choice.
We’ll certainly also be running in honor of last year’s bombing victims. But our friend and her son will be at the forefront of our minds as we push ourselves on the course and hopefully refuse to give up when the going gets tough.

Cheer us on in spirit as we run hard for young Wilson.
